FounderOS ("we," "our," or "us") operates the FounderOS platform, an AI advisory service for multi-venture founders. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • Authentication credentials (passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text)

Venture and Business Data

To provide AI advisory services, we collect information you provide about your ventures, including:

  • Venture names, types, and descriptions
  • Conversations with AI advisors
  • Action items and task data
  • Competitor intelligence you submit
  • Knowledge base entries

Third-Party Integrations

If you connect third-party services, we collect:

  • Google Calendar: read-only access to your calendar events to help schedule your day. We store OAuth tokens securely in a server-only database table not accessible to your browser.
  • Social media handles you provide for competitor tracking (public information only)

Usage Data

We automatically collect:

  • Device and browser information
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Pages visited and features used
  • Timestamps of interactions

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide personalized AI advisory services across your ventures
  • Generate morning briefings and action item recommendations
  • Maintain context across conversations and venture switches
  • Improve the quality and relevance of AI advisor responses
  • Send service-related communications
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud

4. AI Processing

Your conversations and venture data are processed by OpenAI's language models to generate advisory responses. We use text embeddings to maintain context across conversations. OpenAI's data usage policies apply to this processing. We do not use your data to train AI models.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest and in transit, row-level security policies, and regular security audits. OAuth tokens for third-party integrations are stored in server-only tables that are not accessible from client applications.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • OpenAI: For AI processing of conversations and briefings
  • Supabase: For data storage and authentication
  • Vercel: For application hosting and delivery
  • Google: Only when you explicitly connect Google Calendar

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Disconnect third-party integrations at any time
  • Export your data in a portable format

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete all associated data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

FounderOS is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
